Nobody carriesa clan.

1. Take every member's window slice.

   Not their record — the slice of it that opened and closed while they were in your clan. Same slicing the weekly Sprint and duels run on, from the same hash-committed fills, replayed by the same server.

2. Keep the ones that clear the floor.

   Five closed rounds for the all-time board, one for the week — the same floors the individual boards use. And the same verification bar: only a fully verified record takes a position. A chain that has not cleared re-pricing is the one class the server could not check, so it counts nowhere — including inside a roster. Otherwise a clan would be the way to launder exactly the records the boards stopped ranking.

3. Average the best five.

   Fewer than five qualified members and the clan does not rank at all — it reads forming, with how many it still needs. That is an absence, not a zero, and it is not printed as one.

The honest cost, since we would rather say it than have it noticed: depth helps a little. Thirty qualified members give a clan more chances at five strong ones than exactly five do. That advantage has to be earned five verified records at a time, which is the point of it.

1. One clan at a time.

   Membership is a single row keyed by your account, so you cannot be counted in two places. Leaving is instant and self-serve.

2. You bring your future, not your past.

   Your clan window starts the moment you join. Switch clans and it starts again — the rounds you closed for the old one do not follow you.

3. Recruiting beginners is free.

   Only your best five count, so nobody costs a clan anything by learning in it. That is deliberate: this product exists to give newcomers somewhere to practise, and a board that charged clans for teaching would work against it.

4. Cutting a member can never help.

   The top five is the top five whether or not the people below it are on the roster. Expelling someone can only cost you the five-member minimum.

5. Swear all you like. Slurs are the line.

   The filter is deliberately narrow: profanity, crude humour, drugs, violence-as-market-metaphor and trash talk about literally anyone all pass. What does not pass is slurs and sexualised-minor content — that is the whole list. It is checked against a corpus of real clan names so it does not reject yours by accident, and it is a floor rather than a guarantee: report anything it misses on GitHub. Tags and names are also permanent — a clan that could rename itself later could rename itself into an impersonation.
